Delta state- Police nab notorious gang leader of Agbara robbery
Luck ran out of the gang leader after he travelled down to Sapale to attend a wedding where detectives who had been on his trail arrested him.
According to pulse news, A suspect identified as Kelly Rotor and other members of his gang has be arrested by the operatives of the InÂspector General Of Police, Special InÂtelligence Response Team (SIRT) at Sapele, Delta State.
According to report, the suspected militants numÂbering about 20 dressed in military camouflage last ThursÂday to attacked three banks before escaping through the waterways in Agbara InÂdustrial Estate.
Investigations also revealed that the same gang were behind the Festac, Ikorodu and Lekki bank robberies in the past.
In an attempt to bring the culprits to book the IGP Solomon Arase drafted the special elite squad to track and arrest the suspects who have held Lagos under siege in reÂcent times.
It was also gathered that luck ran out of the gang leader after he travÂelled down to Sapale to attend a wedding where detectives who had been on his trail arÂrested him.
Kelly and his gang members didn’t make their arrest an easy one as they engaged in a serious gun battle with the police which also led to the death of another police officer.
The notorious arm robbery gang were eventually over powered by the police and they caught Kelly and some of his members with gun injuries.
