Buhari Must Immediately Resign as Petroleum Minister - Former Governor
An Ex-governor of Anambra state has revealed the most important reasons why the president must immediately resign as the petroleum minister if he wants Nigeria to progress as one of the leading nations in Africa.

President Muhammadu Buhari
A former governor of Anambra State, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately resign as petroleum minister. He said the president cannot cope with the task of handling the role of a president and that of a Minister of Petroleum.
Ezeife cited the lingering fuel scarcity which has continued for weeks without the government proffering a solution. He said performing the role of a petroleum minister would be "too challenging to be combined with the numerous and complex jobs of President and Commander-in-Chief at a critical time like this.”
He stressed that too much distraction would result in a low performance and that the president would lack focus and would be totally inefficient if he considers doing the two jobs at the same time.
Ezeife said: “The results of multiple jobs would be lack of focus and inefficiency. I urge the president to concentrate on his anti-graft war against corruption, insecurity and how to really lead the nation effectively.”
He urged the president to concentrate on his anti-graft war against corruption, insecurity and how to really lead the nation effectively and leave the petroleum industry to be handled by a trusted professional. He said the reason why the president had taken the role was because of distrust after what the last administration stole from the nation.
He advised the president to give full responsibility to his Minister of State, Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu so as to see results in the sector as further delays would result in more Nigerians suffering as already manifested in the lingering fuel scarcity crisis.
