PDP Accuse Buhari, APC Of Supporting Impunity

The Peoples Democratic Party has warned President  Muhammadu Buhari against the alleged calculated attempt by the APC-led government to steal the mandates of governors elected on it platform.
Acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus
The PDP alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress had allegedly perfected plan to take Taraba, Rivers and Bayelsa states which under the party’s control. It alleged that the APC is sowing seeds of discord amongst the people of these states in order to achieve this grand plan.

This disclosure was made by the acting chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus shortly after receiving briefing from the embattled Taraba state governor, Ishaku Darius over the recent election tribunal verdict that nullified his election as governor, This Day reports.
Secondus added that APC government had visited several cases of impunity at members of PDP states governors.
He cautioned the president that without peace he cannot govern the country which informed the decision of his party not to challenge the presidential election.
The PDP boss noted that the willful stealing of the mandates freely given by the electorates to the PDP governors might result to crisis.
He pointed that the party  is in support of the Taraba governor to exhaust all possible legal options in order  to reverse the decision of the tribunal.
Governor Ishaku who spoke earlier said that he came to inform the party’s National Working Committee of his decision to appeal the nullification of his election as governor saying that the people of the state were shocked by the tribunal judgment.
He said: “I’m not shaken, God is on the throne, light must defeat darkness” referring to the tribunal judgment. I’m appealing the judgment of the Kangaroo tribunal and I’m confident that there are still good judges that would give good judgment.
“He said we would do everything possible to ensure no one is killed as a result of the judgment and we the political class must work towards avoiding the shedding of lives all in the name of seeking for political offices.”
Meanwhile, the national leader of the APC Asiwaju Bola Tinubu had described the Taraba state governorship election tribunal’s judgment as a victory for all women.
Tinubu said the party’s victory at the tribunal showed that the judiciary was working.
