FG will leverage talents in creative industry to drive change agenda – Minister
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alh.Lai Mohammed says Federal Government will leverage the untapped talents in the nation’s creative industry to propagate the gospel of Change agenda of the
present administration.
He lamented the absence of long term loan for Nigerian artists, which he said hampers growth of the creative industry and promised to reverse the trend.
The Minister said that the music industry holds great potential for Nigerian economy, hence, the need for government to harness the talents inherent in it to diversify the economy and create job opportunities.
According to the Minister, federal government is perfecting plans to partner state governments to establish 10 festival cities as of its objective to creating enabling environment that will promote Nigerian culture festivals.
In his address, the Kaduna State Governor, Mallam El-Rufai, said the Music Festival was organized by the state government to thank artists who played major role in the emergence of the ruling APC government during the 2015 electioneering campaign.
